International Orality Network – ION Prayer
July 11th thru July 31st – 21 days of prayer and fasting*
Week 2 of our 21 day Daniel Fast
As we move into Week 2 of the 21 days, we want everyone to understand that no matter what degree or physical mode your time of fasting takes on, it is all worthy and all needed. Each one brings their part and portion. Praise be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thank you for joining in this united time of prayer.
If you are looking for some menu suggestion and recipes, see this page from c3Church.com http://c3church.com/blog/daniels-fast-recipes-week-two/. You may find their recipes to be a relaxed version in some areas.
Remember this is not about being legalistic, but allowing God to see the motive of you heart. Bring your portion, it is all needed.
*If you have health issues or are not led to do the entire 21 days Daniel Fast, whatever you decide to do, we thank you for joining us as God leads you to.

The Response: Fasting & Prayer
Fasting is the most powerful spiritual discipline of all the Christian disciplines. Through fasting and prayer, the Holy Spirit can transform your life. Although fasting is always voluntary, scripture is clear that as the people of God we will participate in fasting, but it must come from the place of revelation and personal discipline. Fasting and prayer can also work on a much grander scale. According to Scripture, personal experience and observation, when God’s people fast with a proper Biblical motive-seeking God’s face not His hand – with a broken, repentant, and contrite spirit, God will hear from heaven and heal our lives, our churches, our communities, our nation and world. Fasting and prayer can bring about revival – a change in the direction of our nation, the nations of earth and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Because Jesus is no longer with us and we were commanded to fast for His return (Matthew 9). When we fast we subdue our flesh and choose voluntary weakness, which is attractive to God. There are so many distractions both positive and negative in our lives that hinder our ability to hear from the Lord clearly. We have set up many idols within the Church that limit our relationship with the Lord and therefore hinder our ability to hear clearly and obey. When we starve the flesh, we increase our ability to feed our spirit! When our flesh is satisfied, our spirit often goes hungry.
Praying for: Oral and Oral Bible-less Peoples
Trouble – Open Doors for the Gospel
Intro: When epidemics or natural disasters strike, or trouble that just comes to individuals and families, the results can be devastating. Often, in the midst of this difficulty and uncertainty there comes an opening for the Gospel.
Scripture: “O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.” -Jeremiah 16:19
Prayer: Lord, You are the good shepherd. You look after each one of Your children. You are the only safe refuge and fortress in times of trouble.
Lord, today some of the Oral and Oral Bible-less Peoples are facing trouble they cannot manage. They are in need of Your help. I ask Lord, that You would respond to their need, and come to their aid.
Use this crisis to introduce them to Your goodness. Allow this difficulty to soften their hearts to Your truth. Give them the grace they need to walk away from the god who has failed them and embrace You as their only Lord and Savior. Open their eyes Lord to see You as the lover of their soul, their refuge, and their fortress. In Jesus name, amen.
Thank you for uniting in prayer during these 21 days. We are grateful that you chose to bring your part. Everyone’s portion is needed.
